Novak Construction Breaks Ground in Central Indiana – New Portillo’s in Fishers

FISHERS, IN – Located on 116th Street just east of I-69, the highly anticipated 9,000 square foot Restaurant broke ground this morning, Friday, June 2nd led by Portillo’s and Novak Construction. Portillo’s CEO, Keith Kinsey joined by Sam Herston (Director of Rest. Development), Walter Sydor (Portillo’s In-House Architect), Sherri Abruscato (Portillo’s COO) and Mayor Scott Fadness were present at the ceremony.
This 4 acre site includes new site utilities, concrete sidewalks and curbs, asphalt paving, and full site improvements. The 250 seat restaurant will be a CMU structure with brick veneer and architectural steel elements. It will include a patio and double drive-thru. This location will feature a Prohibition-era theme that will include a roof top water tower and a suspended antique vehicle.
Project Director and Novak Vice President-Restaurant Group, Dan Moriarity, noted that Novak Construction is very excited to bring Portillo’s to this rapidly growing Fishers area.
This location is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2017. Novak also has two other Portillo’s projects currently under construction in Normal, IL and Woodbury, MN.
